Locations

01

Balconies on the Mercaderes–Estafeta bend

A challenging and expressive section. Some of the six bulls may slip or lean as they round the bend; the runners, faces and movements capture the tension of the moment. These balconies offer views of Mercaderes, the turn into Estafeta and, depending on the location, part of the legendary Estafeta street, often with the herd already separated.

02

Estafeta balconies

At around 300 metres, this is the longest section of the run. The length of the street offers views of striking runs: after the bend, the herd may spread out or separate slightly, and the route provides more space to observe the runners.

03

Balconies on the Santo Domingo slope

The first section of the run, and one of the fastest. Towards its end, runners have fewer places to take shelter, while the fresh bulls climb a slope with a gradient of up to 10%. Before the rocket, those running Santo Domingo sing to Saint Fermín to ask for protection: a particularly moving moment that can be watched from the balcony.
